Massive protests are being organised across the world against the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Thousands of people held rallies in the United States, England, Canada, France, Poland, Germany, Sri Lanka and several other countries. Protesters can be seen displaying Ukrainian flags, placards and banners that read “No War”, “It’s Putin War”, “Storp The War And Support Ukraine”, “East Or West Ukraine Is One” and so on. Around 150 Ukrainian tourists staged an anti-war protest outside Russia’s embassy in Srin Lanka. “My people currently in Ukraine are being killed by Russian invaders,” said Hanna Elena, 27, adding that she had been unable to contact some family members and friends back home. “Russian people, please go out on the streets. If all of you can take action, things can change,” said Elena. Even, Russian government is also facing a mass protest in their own country. People in large numbers took to streets across 48 Russian cities and urged the government to stop the war. According to a UN report, at least 64 civilians have been killed in Ukraine so far. More than 1,60,000 people had been internally displaced and more than 1,16,000 forced to flee into neighbouring countries.
