Willard Carroll Smith II is an American actor, rapper, and producer. He was born in Philadelphia (1968). He grew up as a Baptist.

Smith is second among his siblings. His elder sister is Pamela, and two younger siblings, twins Harry and Ellen.

At the early age of 13, his parents separated and divorced. His career started as a fictionalized version of himself on the NBC Sitcom.

At 12, he rapped first. With his childhood friend Jeffrey "DJ Jazzy Jeff" Townes, Smith started the hip-hop duo DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince.

I Dream of Jeannie's song Smith became famous as a light-hearted storytelling rap and capable of battle rhymes.

In 1989, they won Grammy Award for best rap performance in the 'Parents Just Don't Understand song. Second Grammy for Summertime in 1991.

With Six Degrees of Separation(1993) film and the action movie Bad Boys(1995), his career as an actor started. Then Man in Black(1997) earned $589.3 million worldwide.
