Michael Shawn Hickenbottom is an American retired professional wrestler born in Arizona (1965). He grew up in a military family.

At 12, Shawn was sure about his career and wanted to become a professional wrestler. In high school's talent show, Shawn performed a wrestling routine.

Jose Lothario, a Mexican professional wrestler, trained him. Shawn made his National level debut as Sean Michaels at the age(of 20) in the American Wrestling Association.

He got the nicknames Heartbreak Kid, the Showstopper, and Mr. WrestleMania. Shawn consistently wrestles for WWE till his first retirement due to injury (1998).

In 2002, Shawn resumed his wrestling career with WWE and retired in 2010. Now he is WWE's Vice President of Talent Development Creative

Shawn also serves as and oversees the creative aspects of the NXT brand. He co-founded the D-Generation X.

Shawn is a four-time World champion and WWE's World Heavyweight Championship once. He won the first WWF Grand Slam Champion. 

He earned a place in the WWE Hall of Fame two times and also won Pro Wrestling Illustrated Match of the Year.
