Serena Jameka Williams is an American tennis player. She was born in Michigan (1981). She is playing tennis at the age of four.

Williams won her first professional single (1999) held in Paris. She is an aggressive baseliner. Her strength is Serve, known for the fast pace and accurate placement.

Williams ranked 'singles world No. 1 by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) for 319 weeks. She also won 23 Grand Slam singles titles.

She won four gold medals in the Olympics, three in women's doubles, and became the first tennis player to achieve a Career Golden Slam in both singles and doubles.

With her sister Venus, Serena won 14 women's doubles titles. In 2016, she became the world's highest-paid woman athlete. 

Among the 100 highest-paid athletes, she is the only one featured in Forbes(2017) with $27 million. Williams won the Laureus Sportswoman of the Year award four times.
