Nikola Jokic was born in Sombor, Serbia, which at the time was part of Yugoslavia, on 19 February, 1995. He is a Serbian basketball player.

Nikola started his basketball career in Europe. He was selected by the Denver Nuggets in the second round of the 2014 NBA Draft. He became one of the best epicenter in the league.

Jokic was an important part of the Serbian team who represented Serbia in international competitions and, at the 2016 Olympics, won the Silver Medal .

 At the age of 17, Jokic signed a contract with KK Mega Basketball, a Serbian team that plays in the ABA and The Serbian League, and became a pro basketball player.

Jokic's numbers in the Serbian League were very impressive. He scored 18.4 points and grabbed 10.4 rebounds per game. After that, Jokic pursued an NBA career with the Nuggets.

He played 13 games in the Serbian League and 25 games in the ABA and, the following season, had a larger role in the senior team, averaging double figures in scoring.

In his second NBA season, Jokic continued to rise with six triple-doubles, which was the fourth most in the League, and finished the campaign averaging 16.7 points.

Nikola Jokic has two older brothers, Nemanja and Strahinja, who moved with him to Denver. The three live together with Jokic's long-time girlfriend, Natalija Macesic.

Jokic won numerous awards, such as the NBA Most Valuable Player Award, and also won the Silver medal in the 2016 Summer Olympics.
