Lisa Valerie Kudrow is an American actress born in Los Angeles, California. She worked with her father for eight years before choosing acting. 

She started her career as a member of The Groundlings. Lisa also appeared in 1980s television sitcoms.

She also appeared in international prominence in the 1990s for portraying Phoebe Buffay in the American sitcom Friends, won earned Primetime Emmy and Screen Actors Guild awards.  

For a romantic comedy, The Opposite of Sex (1998), she won the New York Film Critics Circle Award for Best Supporting Actress.  

Lisa also produces the HBO comedy series The Comeback. She was nominated for Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for both seasons. 

'P.S. I Love You is a box-office hit. Lisa's Showtime program 'Web Therapy' (2011–2015) got a nomination for a Primetime Emmy Award. 

Lisa makes an appearance in several films. They are  Analyze This (1999), Dr. Dolittle 2 (2001), Bandslam (2008), Hotel for Dogs (2009), and Easy A (2010). 

Other notable films are Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising (2016), The Girl on the Train (2016), Long Shot (2019), and Booksmart (2019). Her films earned over US$2 billion worldwide.
