Kevin Wayne Durant is an American basketball player. He is professionally famous as KD. He is a player for the Brooklyn Nets of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
At the age of 12, his height becomes 6 ft (1.83 m). KD played Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) basketball for several teams.
Earlier, he wore jersey number 35 to honor his coach of AAU, Charles Craig. In 2006, Kevin was the most valuable player of the year in McDonald's All-American Game.
He got the tag of Washington Post All-Met Basketball Player of the Year. KD became the national player of the year and won many awards, such as John R. Wooden Award.
He was the first Freshman who got the name Naismith College Player of the Year. Kevin earned All-NBA honors ten times. In 2018, he became the NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award.
In the 2010 FIBA World Championship, he won the gold medal. Durant again won 3 gold medals in Olympics by playing with the U.S. men's national team.
