Gervonta Davis was born in Baltimore, Maryland, USA on November 7, 1994. He is the son of father Garrin Davis and mother Kenya brown and he is a citizen of the USA.

He is a professional American boxer. Davis began boxing training when he was five years old at the Upton Boxing Center and was trained by his coach, Calvin Ford.

 In his amateur career, he won numerous championships and medals. Davis won the 2 National Junior Olympics gold medals, and the National Golden Gloves Championship.

 Davis also won 3 straight National Silver Gloves Championships from 2006 to 2008 and two Ringside World Championships, among others.

 He had an impressive record of 206-15. Davis made his professional debut at the age of 18 years old on February 22, 2013, against Desi Williams.

On February 20,2015, Davis became the first person to knock out Puerto Rico's Israel Suarez in the first round, at the CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

In the Premier Boxing Championship at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida, Davis, with his first punch, knocked out Mario Antonio Macias.

On June 26,2021, Davis, for the first time in his career, competed at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta in the main event of a Showtime PPV. Davis won the fight by knocking out Mario Barrios.

Davis has held numerous World Championships in 3 weight classes. From 2019, he holds the WBA lightweight title, in 2017, the IBF super featherweight title and so on.
