Derrick Deshaun Watson was born in Gainesville, Georgia(1995). He is an American football quarterback who plays for the Cleveland Browns of the NFL.

He received various offers from many colleges before committing to Clemson University. ESPN 300 ranked him as the top quarterback recruit for the 2014 class.

In 2016 he led the team to a national championship when he played college football at Clemson. In the 2017 NFL draft's first round, Houston Texans selected Watson.

In three seasons as Houston's primary starter, Watson received Pro Bowl Honors. In 2022, Watson signed a 5-year contract($230 million), the most expensive contract in NFL history.

He holds the record for the highest career completion percentage of time (minimum 1,500 attempts). In career passer rating, he has 2nd rank.

In 2017, Watson became 1st player in NFL history to pass for 400+ yards, throw 4+ TD passes, and rush for 50+ yards in a single game. 

In 2017, he donated his NFL game check of $27,000(approx) to three NRG Stadium cafeteria employees affected by Hurricane Harvey.
