Rakim Athelstan Mayers is an American rapper. He was born in New York City(1988). His rapping career started at the early age of nine.

Rocky learned rapping from his older brother. Mobb Deep, UGK, Run DMC, Wu-Tang Clan, and Bone Thugs-n-Harmony influence him most.

He adopted his moniker from hip hop collective ASAP Mob, of which he is a member. His single "Peso" leaked online and received radio airplay later.

Live. Love. A$AP is Rocky's debut mixtape. It got double platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). 

After the success, he worked with Polo Grounds Music, RCA Records, and Sony Music Entertainment. Fuckin Problems got the nomination for Best Rap Song at the Grammy Awards(2014).

Rocky won many awards such as BET Award, BET Hip Hop Awards, an MTV Video Music Award Japan, and an MTVU Woodie Award.

He directed music videos for himself and Danny Brown, other A$AP Mob members. Rocky appeared on Nigo's album I Know Nigo in 2022.
