Shiv Sena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi on Sunday wrote to Rajya Sabha Chairperson Venkaiah Naidu expressing her desire to resign as Sansad television program manager Meri Kahaani following her suspension from the House during the winter parliamentary session.
Chaturvedi wrote in her letter, “After my unfair suspension, which has completely ignored the established rules and regulations of Parliament, the suppression of my voice, the voice of my party inside the house, I do not intend to continue to occupy space on Sansad TV.

“That the suspension also tarnished my reputation in parliament and my role in addition to the work I did to give women MPs a platform for their journey, I believe justice has been done but as it is considered in the eyes of the chair, I must respect it,” she added.
However, on Sunday, Chaturvedi wrote to Naidu, saying, “It is very sad but with a sense of commitment and reflection on this, I wish to inform you that I would like to step down instead of anchoring Sansad TV Meri. Kahani.”
“I believe it is my duty that if today the highest number of women of Parliament is suspended in the recorded history of Rajya Sabha for the whole time to speak for the people of this country, I must speak for them and participate. unity for them. Also, let us not forget that 12 Members of Parliament have been suspended for their conduct in the past, never before in the history of parliament, ”she added.
Chaturvedi, along with 11 other Members of Parliament, was suspended from the Royal Household on suspicion of misconduct towards the end of a storm session in August during a sham call after opposition members stormed a House Fountain during the passage of the General Insurance Business.
