A fight inside the Mall of America escalated into gunfire Thursday autumn, Causing police to place the boardwalk on lockdown for over an hour.
Police Chief Booker Hodges said – the incident started as a fight between two groups. It took place at the Nike store cash register around 4:15pm.

What Happens at the Mall of America?
One group left, but someone fortified with a handgun circled back to fire. At least three shots at the store before running down.
Law enforcement placed Mall of America on lockdown shortly after the firing. Police also lifted the lockdown around 540p.m. and claimed that the area was now secure.
There have been no injuries reported. Police are still looking for two young adult suspects.
The police have not made any arrests since Thursday night.

Police said –
Please turn yourself in, Hodges said in a message to the suspects.
But should you choose not to, our officers and detectives will not stop until we lock you up.
Hodges said police answered the Best Western lodge nearby, assumed to be the location of the suspects.
However, officials did now no longer locate them there. 5 Eyewitness News cameras captured a heavy police presence on the resort that lasted for hours, with a couple of groups and SWAT groups stationed outside and inside the construction.

The resort has barred some households from entering at some point during the ordeal.
