Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc crashed out of the French Grand Prix when he was taking lead in the race. He dealt a crucial drift to winning his title chances.

Charles Leclerc was expected to set against for fresh tires. He was in a commanding position when he ran fast at high-speed on Turn 11 and swung into the barriers. His mistake handed over the lead of the race to his rival Max Verstappen. Verstappen was already ahead of Leclerc in the race and leading him behind by 38 points.

He said, “If I keep making mistakes I don’t deserve to win the championship. I am performing at the highest level of my career but if I keep the mistakes then it is pointless. If we lose the championship by 32 points I will know where they are coming from but it is unacceptable.”

He further added that “I go through the same process all the time and try to analyze. It is a mistake and that is it. I try to push too much and I lost the rear. It has been a very difficult weekend for me. I struggled with the balance of the car. I made a mistake at the wrong moment.”

But it could not be said if that issue is related to the Ferrari accident he suffered in France. Charles Leclerc’s third retirement of the year was the result of two power unit issues that happened in Spain and Azerbaijan.
